Meet Our Team
Ben
As the owner of Brick & Mortar Mercantile, Ben’s favorite thing is to find products he would purchase as a customer.
Embodying passion for the merchandise and the people he works with, Ben has a contagious, fun and exciting attitude that we hope you’ll enjoy as much as we do!
Having been in retail all his life, Ben believes that entertainment and creativity have a special place in the next generation of locally owned brick and mortar retail stores.
Charlie
We all know the phrase: “When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping”.
But is retail therapy for real?
Visit our Frederick location to meet Charlie.
He’s your go-to-good-advice-guy at Brick & Mortar Mercantile.
Looking to try a rugged coat on for size?
Maybe, instead, it’s a classic pair of boots you’re after; a humorous book; or even an inspirational piece of art to hang over the fireplace?
Charlie is always eager to help you with your purchase, and explain how spending money is actually good for your mental health!
Samantha
Samantha isn’t meant to be a people person, but for some reason customers like her, even when she makes fun of them.
Come summertime, Samantha will most likely force her homegrown cucumbers and homemade pickles upon her favorite customers.
If you catch her in our Leesburg store, be sure to come armed with your best dirty joke. If she hasn’t heard it before or it offends her (not likely), she’ll buy you a drink.
